A message from our Founder

Hello, I’m Niv, the founder of Mentoring Minds Tutors and host of the 11+ podcast: Mastering the 11 Plus. 

I still vividly remember sitting The Latymer School 11+ exams - the apprehension, the pressure and the weight of knowing how much they could shape my future. Those experiences stayed with me and they are a big part of why Mentoring Minds Tutors exists today.

With nearly 15 years of experience tutoring, I’ve seen what truly works - and what doesn’t. I’ve watched students grow in confidence, achieve their goals and progress beyond expectations. Over the years, I’ve built a trusted network of experienced tutors, all with one shared aim: helping children succeed in the 11+ journey. My goal is to help parents find the right tutor for their child - not just any tutor.

As a parent, I understand the pressure of wanting the very best education for your child. As a former Latymer student, I understand how daunting the 11+ process can feel. And as a tutor, I know how to guide students through it effectively and compassionately.

Mentoring Minds Tutors is not a large, impersonal organisation. I work closely with every family and know each student and parent by name. I offer a truly individual service - personally tutoring some students myself and carefully matching others with trusted professionals who are best suited to their needs.

We specialise exclusively in 11+ tuition. We are not an all-singing, all-dancing outfit - we focus on what we do best and we do it well.

We work with a trusted network of qualified teachers and professional tutors. Your child will be matched with a tutor who brings both expertise and experience to the table.

Our tutor network includes:

• Professional tutors and qualified teachers currently teaching 11+ subjects

• Experts with proven success records

• SEN-trained professionals equipped to support neurodiverse and neurotypical learning needs

• Tutors who have personally passed the 11+ and/or are UK qualified teachers

• Tutors with experience as examiners

• All tutors are DBS checked and based in the UK.

We offer a range of flexible formats:

• 1-to-1 online sessions

• In-person 1-to-1 tutoring in Enfield

• In-person group tutoring in Enfield
